Who is eligible for a Business Owners Policy (BOP)?

Every business is unique, so it’s always best to get a quote, but this list of all included activities describes the types of businesses that are eligible for a BOP policy from Thimble.

Wondering why you can’t get certain BOP coverages when you try to get a quote? There are a few particulars that might make a business ineligible for BOP coverages from Thimble at this time:

ZIP Code

Even in states where coverage is available, certain ZIP codes may be excluded because of increased risk.

Renting vs. Owning Your Building

Business Personal Property Coverage can still cover your assets inside a business premises whether you own it or not, but if you rent your premises or run your business from home, we sadly can’t offer Building Coverage as part of your BOP policy.

Building Coverage is designed for commercial premises wholly owned by your business.

Revenue Limit

Businesses who report over $10 million in annual revenue are ineligible for coverage from Thimble. We’re equipped to handle small businesses, and it sounds like your business is getting pretty big!

Number of Employees

Businesses who report over 50 employees are ineligible for coverage from Thimble. If you’re building a team this big, you’ll likely need to seek out insurance with higher coverage limits than what we currently offer.

If none of these sound like you, you may be eligible for a BOP policy from Thimble! Learn more about what’s covered and get a quote here.
